What are the best ways to manage Gout? Diet ideas welcome.

I have had 2 knee replacements and terrible pain in my ankle and food for a year. Doctor gave me a blood test and found gout. Prescribed a week of Methylprednisolone tablets. Still in pain and have schedule an MRI. What can I do for the gout to eleviate the pain
