Thyroid and Body Pain
Hi everyone - Wondering if anyone has any experience with chronic body pain and thyroid issues. The list of possible symptoms from being hypothyroid is overwhelming and to be honest, I'm often not sure if what I'm seeing online is a real list based on science or made up by someone trying to sell supplements.
We've finally got my medication to the point where I'm no longer hypothyroid, but I still have body aches all the time. It's better some days and worse others. The last couple of days it's been quite bad and even my skin hurts.
My doc just finished testing for a whole slew of other auto-immune issues including rheumatoid arthritis and celiac. Everything came back fine, so that doesn't explain it. I'm wondering if this is really worth pursuing (given that we have a very high deductible and it's about to roll over) or if it's just one of the fun parts of being a thyroid patient and I need to just deal. Thanks in advance for any advice / experiences that can help.

@contentandwell Exercise is a beneficial thing. A health club or gym is not an option. My diet is healthy as in no sugar, gluten or dairy. No refined foods and only whole foods. Physical issues prevent many types of exercise. I do what I can. No pain, no gain no longer works for me. I appreciate your input and agree we need exercise. Thankful you can do what you do and also have a husband to work with. In the summer I enjoy playing in the dirt and spending time with my grand children-they are a positive inspiration in many ways.
@parus we all do what we can. My primary exercise at my club is water exercise. I enjoy the classes, there's a good group of people most of who are around the same age as me. I am so thankful that there is a place close to me (about 20 minutes away) that has a pool for exercise.
Yesterday's instructor decided we should do water volleyball. I really did not enjoy that, it was not as good a workout and I was concerned about my hearing aids getting overly wet -- they will withstand a certain amount of water for a short period of time.
My husband and I do not work out together at all, we don't even go to the same facility.
I wish I enjoyed gardening, I never have. I have always loved cooking and baking but these days my cooking is quite basic and very little baking. No grandchildren yet for me -- my kids are 35 and 37 so I guess they're late bloomers.
