@jenblalock Hello Jen. @heathert Heather is right, ibuprophen helps to alleviate inflammation. Inflammation of the lungs is a common occurence for us. Some factors besides just having a disease are air quality issues. Some things that can cause inflammation are things in the air like scented candles, scented laundry detergent, deoderants, etc. There are 'silent' pollutants too; especially at this time of year. Be wary of shopping malls. They are overloaded with fresh merchandise that off-gass all kinds of chemicals that were applied overseas, along with many perfume samples being sprayed. I don't know how many of you have experienced burning eyes and asthma like symptoms while X-mas shopping. My point being, be cautious to airborne triggers, especially around this holiday.

@windwalker I diddnt even think on the perfumes being sprayed in the shops, I always felt my hubbys deoderant spray was a problem, now I know, he leans out the window to spray it but i can smell it on him always, got to go! Thanks Terri 🙂

@windwalker and @heathert Thank you for your responses. I will keep this in mind. I do almost all my shopping online so no worries there. We use unscented laundry detergent and no dryer sheets so good there. Amazing all that I have to consider these days. Mainly, though, I am in the house or outside so it could be something in the outside air. It's sort of our Fall here (southern US) so lots of vegetation is dying.

The doctor called in some prednisone for me to try to just knock this out. I've only been on it one day but I think my lungs feel better. Could be placebo effect. We'll see. I think I really need to get off my butt, start working out, and get out of this 'sick mode'. So easy to fall into it when not feeling great.

Thanks again for your input. I appreciate it.

@jenblalock Prednisone is great stuff, hope you are better soon!

@jenblalock Hi Jen. The prednisone should help a lot. I get put on it at least one time a year. I love the stuff. It makes me feel strong and gets my lungs back on track. I hope it will work as well for you.

@windwalker Hi Terri. Today is day 4 of Prednisone and feeling SO much better! Normal I would say. Also, I'm glad to know the feeling bad was legit and that it wasn't just allergies that I had to live with. Hope it holds after I finish the prednisone. How are you doing?

@heathert Yes, it is doing it's job and I feel much better. Thanks! How are you doing?

Hi @jenblalock ,yay that is fantastic news!, I had steriods years ago when I was feeling dreadful and they were fantastic, worked quickly and efficiently.

@jenblalock, Good morning, Jen! Oh! I am SO glad that the prednisone is working! Especially here at the holidays. I am doing great, thank you for asking. I was just in Virginia this past weekend and had an early Christmas with my daughter. Also helped a friend up there get unpacked from a move. We are having a Christmas party this weekend; so I have had fun shopping for décor for the party. I have not entertained in seven years due to illness. It feels good to get back to my old self. I hope you continue to improve and have a safe and happy holiday. Hugs, Terri

@windwalker That is great news, Terri! So glad you are getting your life back! Have a wonderful holiday. xxoo

@windwalker So happy to hear that you are well and enjoying time with family and friends. Hope you keep your health up and have the best of holidays this year and every year after that.
