Can anybody share about being on SEROQUEL?

Three years ago i started seroquel to help with new dx of bipolar 1. They were having me take 600 to 800 mg. At night. But it caused me so much anxiety and nightmares at that level. I found that 200 mg at night works for me. I definitely have less energy and motivation, but it also definitely got better over a few weeks. I hope that will be the case for you! Best, Cathy

Iam on 200 mgs of extended release Seroquel. I was on 300mgs but did 2 tapers of 50 mgs of the extended release. Over a 4 month period. Now i dont know how to get off the rest. I cant just cut 50 again because it is more than a 10 percent taper. The extended release tablets dont come in a small enough dose to do this. The medicine is a tablet so you cant cut it. I have been on it for about a year and 4 months and want to get off. The doctor said just keep going down 50 mgs. That is too fast of a taper. Can anyone weigh in on this. I have had alot of anxiety since the last 50 mg taper.

Mine too derryman. Everyday day starts with Anxiety and depression and a irregular heartbeat. Iam taking Seroquel 200 mg,, Mirtazapine 45, Lisinopril, propranolol, and buspirone. Iam literally fuzzy brained all day. I would love to feel dtrong and in charge of my emotions. The Anxiety is awful. Iam 72, iam afraid this is the way iam going to be for the rest of my life. God help me.

My anxiety is worse when i wake up. Heavy chest and irregular heartbeat. I take my propranolol and lisinopril first thing i get up. Than later in the AM i take buspirone for anxiety. Some days like today, i will take a half milligram of Ativan. I try very hard not to take that. I have come down 100mgs on my seroquel. First 50mg cut in March and than another 50 mg cut in May. I have been on Seroquel since May 12 2017

Is it safe to stop taking 50mg of seraquil after only taking it for 2 months ? The side effects of this medication is awful

May I ask if you could share a few more details? What side effects are you experiencing? Did the medication help, otherwise?

Dear Derryman, I have been right where you are, not living, just marking time. I am in remission now, thank the universe for my excellent doctor. I was on so much medication to pull me out of that hole, now just on Seroquel and Neurontin. The crippling anxiety you are having is unacceptable. You need a doctor who will work with you to have a life, not just exist. You may have to shop around some which I know is hard when you are depressed, but solutions are out there. I was very happy and normal while married for 46 yrs in spite of a dysfunctional growing up.. After husband died in 2010 ( we were close ) Then our daughter had a stroke @ 38...my grand kid showing signs of serious illness so I lost my relationship with grand child- age 22- who I love with all my heart & soul. My heart is broken I have friends ..we go out on occasion. But I am sad, empty , money problems since husbands pension was CUT by 2/3 Why is that allowed after folks worked hard all your life ?? GOP says they have family values but their policies say otherwise. They cut FDA EPA meals on wheels, education, more coal to be burned, , common sense regs used to protect our air, water, environment ... now unlimited insecticide allowed to run off into our food crops. stock markets just tumbled due to a erratic President & not thought out Trade deals . I see many problems from this lack of mature leadership Many of the jobs being created are low paying, with NO benefits, or pension. Middle class is dying Wages in REAL dollars are not keeping up with living expenses . We are being lied to and misinformed and do not even know it....
