@techi

I just want to know if you have another diagnoses or had those symptoms but there in another group can you respond. Because so many of us have more than one Illness and either want to know more or want to give experiences you went through

Hi Lisa,
Good question. You can follow and participate in as many groups as relevant to you. Here's a list of all the groups on Connect: https://connect.mayoclinic.org/groups/

We rarely "fit" into one group. For example, one person may wish to follow Women's Health, Caregivers, and Heart Health. Another person may follow only Lung Cancer. Everyone can tailor what groups they follow to their specific interests or health issues. Following specific groups, will tailor the information you get in your Daily Digest -- a daily email summary of the activity happening groups and pages you are following.

Is there a way to start a new group, not a new discussion but a new group?

Colleen, is there a group for Sciatica?

Thank you colleen l just wasn't sure if you had to stay with one group.

I have suffered from this since August. Had a steroid shot in Sept. and anti inflammatory meds. It flares up with the least amount of housework. Icing helps but would really like some answers!

Colleen, I have IPF and am thinking about stem cell therapy. What do you know about that? I notice that Mayo makes no mention of this treatment. Lung Institute is really high on this for a much improved quality of life.

I have lung problems from a collapsed lung and multiple pneumonia in 1995

@kibwezi, you can submit a request for a new group here: https://connect.mayoclinic.org/contact-a-community-moderator/

Groups are usually born out of demonstrated activity within in an existing group. For example, the Cancer group created several sub groups (Breast Cancer, Colorectal Cancer, Lung Cancer, etc.) once the number of members, discussions and regular postings warranted the opening of a new group.

@liz223 members talk about sciatica in both the Brain & Nervous System group and the Chronic Pain group, and even in the Scoloisis discussion in Bones, Joints & Muscles. @10nsmom and @janovr were you also looking for a group for sciatica?

See this discussion in the Chronic Pain group: Sciatica pain - https://connect.mayoclinic.org/discussion/sciatica-pain/

Hi @robinson,
I see that you are following the Lung Health group. That is where discussions about IPF are taking place. You mention that the posts are from 2016, but in fact this thread about IPF started in 2012 and continues to be active today with posts as recent as this week.
