I am interested in the latest
Publications on brain health.

Here is something that I found interesting and hopeful:

We keep learning. I know that trauma survivors with extreme anxiety can be helped tremendously with hallucinogens of a kind or another. Peyote works for some, ayahuasca for others, shrooms for some, LSD for others. Must be a helluva journey finding out which one it is to be. 😀

So the study referenced makes the point: In stress-affected brains, psilocybin sparked a significantly higher surge in new spine formation while simultaneously halting the excessive loss of existing connections.

In other words: Culprit is Unnecessay Stress.
Unnecessary because good stress informs us Run from the danger; Stop digging and rest; Think thru and Discard Unfounded Fear.

Reaching for pills first is to miss the opportunity what stress is tell you.
It's like reaching out for GLP-1 to kill hunger pangs and not addressing the source of Unnecessary hunger.

In the 2025 book, Brains Need Friends, the author reminds loneliness is behind More problems that we ever knew: Dying Early? Women by about 60%; Men closer to twice (78%)

No pill will counter the damage we do by not 'friending' each other, our other fallen fellows!
