Please share your experience on hydroxychloroquine/Paquinol

I was prescribed hydroxychloroquine while they try to figure out what’s happening in my system. I believe they’re thinking systemic sclerosis, but no clear answers at this point. Medication seems to have a paradoxical effect on me. Little bit frightened. Thank you so much for your responses.

I’ve been on hydroxychloroquine for a number of years with no issues. I currently have Sjogrens and small lymphocytic lymphoma, a non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. I have also had Hodgkins lymphoma. Has anyone had any problems with bruising and the bruising not clearing up? No one seems to know why I bruise so easily.

@annpeters , I think I may have responded to you about Hydroxychloroquine, on another thread, but anyway I started taking it in the spring of this year. I don’t have lupus or RA. My dermatologist prescribed it suspecting autoimmune issues. Since I started taking it my sore muscles and joints stopped hurting. Tender tissue underneath the skin stopped being tender. It was amazing! No pain in my feet, knees, shoulders or hips. I had an eye exam then and am returning for another one soon. I really hope I can stay on this med. It has really changed my life. I can’t believe I’m pain free for the first time in 18 years. The only change was starting this med.
