loss of hand coordination, muscle atrophy, weak

I am looking for answers and hopefully someone has dealt with my issues. I have lost strength in my dominate left hand. I have trigger finger, pain coming from my neck down my shoulder and pain in my arm. I have found several tender areas on my shoulder and arm. I have had several mri's and they can't find a compressed area causing this. My bloodwork is all normal. I am 55 years old. When I hold my left arm straight out it becomes heavy and I can feel the circulation being reduced. The EMG test showed carpal tunnel but I have muscle atrophy below my pinky and the hand specialist said that carpal tunnel would not cause that. I am at my witts end as I am too young to lose the capability of using my dominate hand. When I hold a pen the grip has changed due to weakness. My nerves in my forearm spasm.

Hello!

I am 29 and currently in the process of being evaluated for thoracic outlet syndrome, but I also have some neurological conditions going on (Arnold Chiari malformation and neuropathy) and bilateral carpal tunnel. I have had a vascular ultra sound and bilateral MRIs of my shoulders, hands, neck and thoracic areas. My vascular surgeon is not too convinced it is TOS, though. I just wanted to write to you that I too am going through very similar symptoms, heaviness and weakness in both arms, hands and shoulders, loss of function, extreme pain, coordination and mobility. It is hard to navigate life with the loss of hands, and this kind of pain. I am no doctor, but it sounds like vascular may be your next route to look into! Since October, I have been through 12 different specialists to attempt to figure this out, with no real clarity, yet. I just want you to know you are not alone and to keep advocating for yourself during this time.

Always a message away!!

I just got some bloodwork back showing my GM 1 antibodies test for lgM is a 70 and should be between 1-50. My lgG is at a 3 and should be between 0-50. so the first one is positive and the 2nd one is negative. I asked chatgpt and this means I could potentially have multifocal motor neuropathy. The doctor hasn't talked to me yet so I don't quite understand this all but it is a positive for hopefully figuring me out. Has anyone else had this test?

In reply to all of the comments about hands, arms, neck, shoulders...I am 88 and have been living with arthritis since my mid-20s. I want to suggest that you consider your struggles could be caused by problems in the cervical portion of your spine. At 60 I had a plate placed at C5 after 15 years of working on a computer as a software aerospace engineer. That surgery was awesome and provided many years of relief from neck, shoulder, arm, hand problems due to cervical deterioration. NONETHELESS, the current deterioration at C4 and C6-7 from the plate at C5 are now creating the problems for me that I am reading from so many of you...fingers, hands, wrists, arms, shoulder, neck. At 88, no surgeon is willing to clean out the cervical deterioration, but you each are much younger than me. Just check out with MRI if your problems could be coming from your cervical spine. PLEASE don't spent all day working at a desk. It is devastating for our bodies. I did not retire until 70 yrs. so movement prayer now are my only answer to suffering.

thank you for responding. I have seen 4 specialists and one of them stated a possible MS but that hasn't been confirmed. All MRI's don't show anything. I am doing shockwave treatments right now and they don't seem to be helping.
