@nallyator19571031 You really need to have your doctor take you off the Ambien and try another sleep medication. Amitriptyline is a medication that helps sleep, anxiety, depression and even pain. I take it and highly recommend it.....but not everyone is the same so it may or may not work for you. But DONT GIVE UP! Sleep is so very very important to our overall health and quality of life! I pray for you.

@nallyator19571031 - welcome to Mayo Clinic Connect. I'm sorry sleep is not coming easily and you feel like jumping off a bridge sometimes. Feeling tired all the time sounds awful.
You may find some help with the many resources available on this Connect page:
- - Crisis Resources https://connect.mayoclinic.org/blog/about-connect/tab/crisis-resources/
The suicide and mental health crisis help resources may be especially useful, and I'd encourage you to talk with someone at one of them to get some input on getting off the poor sleep cycle.
Wondering if the zolpidem (Ambien) all of a sudden stopped working well? Does your doctor know you are feeling as though you need to add something else in order to get some sleep?
