has anyones periphial neuropathy worsened from taking beta blockers

I was put on Metoprolol for heart condition and it seems it was soon after that my periphial neuropathy in my feet, lower legs, and hands worsened. I am wondering if anyone else has had the same experience or if there is a beta blocker out there that doesn't affect it.

@johnbishop they have a new treatment for neuropathy in Greenville SC . It’s called laserIV. I got a EMS off Walmart for 13 dollars and it helped my neuropathy . They put me on metoprolol last week because I went to afib after I started bleeding out during a biopsy from bronchoscopy. I’m going to doctor tomorrow and get him to take me off of it. The EMS does help

Hello @bree16, Welcome to Connect. Thanks for sharing what has helped you. I'm assuming the EMS is an electrical muscle stimulation device like a TENS unit. There are actually quite a few members who have shared experience with them. I used one for about 6 weeks but it didn't help me. I only have numbness and some tingling with my neuropathy. I think the Class IV Laser Therapy for neuropathy has been around for awhile and been offered by a lot of neuropathy clinics but it's definitely not a cure (my non medical opinion). I do think some people have found some relief and have shared there experience in many different discussions here on Connect - https://connect.mayoclinic.org/search/.
