Loosing hope that my chronic pain will end.
I’m finding myself completely overwhelmed and hopeless. I’m tired of endless dr appointments and no relief. I hurt my back 15 years ago and was told it was just bruised. Fast forward now my pain is severe. It has always been for the most part in the center but has at some points been lower. Now it’s in my neck and all through my rt shoulder and down my arm. I’m not sleeping well. Tired of being in pain with no answers. I have had multiple MRI and X-rays. I changed my back dr because he was concentrating on my lower back pain and that’s not where my worse pain is. Now my dr thinks it’s my neck and X-rays showed nothing. Waiting till my appointment next week for arm then will most likely be sent for MRI. All while waiting for biopsy in two weeks to see if have breast cancer. Just tired of the pain and feeling like it won’t end.

You really keyed into one of the key components when it comes to chronic pain patients, as clearly illustrated in this book.
Stress can translate to physical pain that is very real, along with previous trauma of any variety.
This started me on a journey of pretty much no more doctors, along with losing pain doc, after years of being housebound, could barely stand up to make food, yesterday was atop a 12 foot ladder fixing roof.
Couldn't even walk out for mail before.
Have 25 scans on radnet between the legs/spine and my MS, now even the MS is down to a yearly visit after 25 years.
Can almost run now. Skip. Jump. Dance.
57 thought life was over, feels like it just begun.
Btw my pain doc is 100 down with the book.
Go grab ya a copy online cheap.
Chapters 6-8 is all you need.
Mark.
Look up videos (YouTube) and articles regarding the work of Dr. Howard Schubiner and Alan Gordon. It's about a technique named Pain Reprocessing Therapy.
Books "Unlearn your pain" by HS and "The way out" by AG are an eye opener and frankly mind blowing.
The basic idea of PRT is that chronic pain is NOT due to any physical injury but actually neuroplastic (learned) pathways in the brain that create pain in the absence of injury. Since they're learned, they can be "unlearned".

2 Reactions@kayraymat Tram also gives me constipation, so I've upped my fiber, oatmeal, prunes, apples, Tram works but wears off too soon, and I wake in pain, going to ask my dr for an extended release version
@debrap57
I am not sure. I think it is some type of opioid combined with tylenol.
@kayraymat sounds like oxycodone. Dr gave that to me after surgery. It helps you ? I'm glad to hear that. Does it bother your stomach?
@1995victoria Be aware the only way Tramadol works in your system is by boosting your serotonin, That is it. Nothing more or less. Talk to your doctor about “what is the mechanism for pain that this medication uses ? “ you may need to make a better choice together as far as pain control goes. I’m praying you have a good pain management doctor, I feel very safe with mine and there isn’t anything I can’t ask or talk about. Sending better days your way 🫶

Everything seems to bother my stomach! but Tramadol stopped me up
and the Norco doesn't.
@1995victoria
The Norco doesn't give me constipation so it is one less thing
to worry about.
