Post BMT Update: Anyone have a Donor Lymphatic Infusion?
At 6 and 9 months, Chimerism test results were mixed on one Allelle. My civilian Oncologist ordered a BMB. The results show one of the seven mutations I had is back at a low level. So, if available, I will have a Donor Lymphatic Infusion. I will know more details Oct 15.
The battle continues. I have Faith God will heal me.
Also, not trying to offend anyone, but I don't need/want anyone to define processes and terms to me. I have a great medical team.
I am curious to know if anyone had a DLI and went on to full remission.

Hi @janetlen I’m going to tag @dwolden to bring her into this discussion. Her husband, David had a BMT and then required a DLI at a later date. It has been very successful!
Was your donor local to the US or from Europe?

2 ReactionsMy husband relapsed 12 months after SCT, then 7 months after tecartus car-t. I would like to know how people fared with DLI, too, as that is the next step in his B-ALL journey. It's been 2 1/2 years and he is still here for the fight so that is a good thing.

2 Reactions@loribmt My donor is American.
@loribmt
My husband still had mixed chimerism 6 months after transplant. Team was very concerned about the CD4 line which was very laggardly. Our transplant doctor recommended a DLI and our donor was gracious enough to give us a second gift of life.
Chimerism went to 100% within two months after the DLI (accompanied by GVHD, but it is well managed). Over a year later he remains in full remission. Graft vs. leukemia for the win.
Best of luck to you Janet.

1 Reaction@dwolden thank you for the information. It is helpful.
@janetlen Having a donor from the states may make it a little more convenient to do a collection. That’s the only reason I asked. ☺️
By the way, yesterday was Bone Marrow Donor day! So many of us are here because of these generous strangers. 🥰

2 Reactions@dwolden I’m filled with anticipation, right along with you and David, that his donor will respond! It’s so incredibly difficult to put into words the depth of emotions we feel for our donors. For most of us receiving a stem cell transplant,
these are completely anonymous people who have selflessly given us or a family member, the gift of life, Really, how does one go about effectively thanking someone for saving their life?!
So good luck to you and David as you reach out to his donor! 💙 💚 💝
