My heart goes out to you - I understand the symptoms you are experiencing! I was diagnosed with a paralyzed vocal cord 4 years ago and had surgery 3 years ago. Up until that time I had a very coarse, rough-sounding voice and tremendous fatigue mid-day from trying to talk. After the surgery and then speech therapy my quality of life (and voice) is much improved.

Has speech therapy been recommended? If not, please inquire about a referral. It is amazing what speech therapists can do.

Will you keep us posted as to how you are doing?

Teresa

Sorry, but I am just now seeing your September posts and replies. You did a great job of sharing your symptoms and I think I can suggest some things that might be helpful. If you could post an update on how you're doing now and anything you've done to get further evaluated it would be great. I hope that you've found a doctor who can not only properly diagnoses you but give you a treatment plan that addresses your issues.
