How long have you been cured or no evidence of disease (NED)?

The anxiety monster is creeping in bad today my friends. I am stuck in fight or flight and have been for a long time. I am 53 y/o female and I had a wedge resection to remove a stage 1A1 9 mm adenocarcinoma last August. My doctors are saying that I am "cured". There was no other treatment needed. Since then I have had 4 clear scans and everything "looks great". As a result however, I have developed severe health anxiety mainly around cancer and recurrence and PTSD. I am in therapy and have a psychiatrist. I am trying so hard. My husband died unexpectedly in 2020 and I lost my mom in 2023. Just feels like I have been hit in every direction. Im posting mainly to vent but I sure could use some positive stories from survivors who have had no recurrence and are living positive lives. I could use a lot of prayer right now. Hugs to all who have had to go through this hell.

You have had your share of heartbreak and you have my deepest sympathy. In my 74 years I have learned I am not in control. God has a plan for me and I know His love will carry me through the peaks and valleys. I have posted a note on my bathroom mirror that says “Jesus take the wheel.” Whatever helps you find peace please pursue. 🙏🏻❤️

@peeps69 desperately searching for that peace and I know God is the only one who can give it. Feel so alone in this life.
