I am tagging @colleenyoung, our moderator, with your inquiry. I do know that Mayo Clinic offers several support groups, but indeed there was not one for depression nor anxiety. @gingerw yes I have. I just figured on here there would be more people to reach and honestly more people that understand. I have been a part of NAMI for quite a while. I did the training in Rochester to facilitate support groups and advocacy. It was a 3-5 day training, I believe. It was a long time ago. I have certifications for several different things.

@jacqueline2026, the monthly support group meetings posted on Mayo Clinic Connect are facilitated by the Mayo Clinic social work department and available to all both Mayo patients and non-Mayo patients. At this time, we do not have a publicly available monthly meeting.

If you are a Mayo Clinic patient, please contact your physician or social worker to inquire about support meetings available to you.
