@cad43, as you can see from @tim41 and @william66, others taking Eliquis have noticed red spots too, but what they’re describing isn’t necessarily the same. Some are very small, some larger, some disappear, and some hang around.

I don’t take Eliquis, but I’ve had different kinds of red spots myself—some that disappear and others that hang around—which is partly why I’m wondering what yours look like.

Could you describe yours a little more—are they tiny pinpoints or larger, flat or raised, and do they come and go or hang around? If you’re comfortable attaching a photo, that might also help members understand what you’re seeing.

Do you notice any other symptoms or changes that seem to happen at the same time the spots appear? And have you had a chance to show them to the clinician who prescribes your Eliquis?

Mine are flat underneath the skin, no blood. If I bump something hard the
next day I will have a large red mark under my skin. Some are small about a
quarter inch and some are large as a quarter. It usually takes a few weeks
for them to fade away, Hope this helps!

@jlharsh They are very small on top of skin. Flat, pinpoint with a few a little bigger, maybe like a strawberry seed. I'm trying to send a picture to my hematologist so I can get advice. Some websites say it means bleeding under the skin. I really hate Eliquis, but have to take it because of a clotting gene and blood clot. Thanks.

@jlharsh

I still have a few of them. There were larger areas that went away. The small ones don't seem to be a problem. Since I live in an area with a of mosquitos, I some time pick at the them as I would bites. Doesn't seem to be a problem.
