@lisamarie27 there is another similar discussion that might be helpful to learn what experiences other members have shared.
-- How do I know it is Fibromyalgia when I have Sjogren's & SFN?

There does seem to be a close connection. Here's a reference that may help answer some of your questions.

I just recently read that research is indicating that Sjogren's impact on small fiber nerves is more widespread than most doctors have realized and the small fiber neuropathy Sjogren's patients develop due to that has probably led to incorrect diagnosis of fibromyalgia. Also, the fascia is clearly impacted by Sjogren's inflammation, and it's everywhere in the body (see below). If a doctor is still limited in their knowledge about the neurological and systemic damage of Sjogren's, then they often blame it on fibromyalgia. While you might have both as separate processes, positive blood work should be a reasonable indicator of Sjogren's. Doing a search on how doctor's can determine the difference is helpful, here's a bit more info: 'The Layers of Fascia Under your skin: This is the shallow layer. It sits right under your skin and holds body fat.
Around your muscles: This is the deep layer. It wraps around every single muscle, bone, nerve, and blood vessel.
Inside your belly and chest: This layer wraps around your internal organs, like your heart and lungs, to keep them safe and in place.'

1 ReactionWill fibromyalgia treatments work on Sjogren fatigue. Does anything work?
Have you had the biopsy for small fiber neuropathy done by a neuromuscular neurologist?

ENT- lip biopsy of glands
Eye Doctor- does two test for Sjogren’s in the eyes
An eye doctor and a minor salivary gland lip biopsy are key parts of diagnosing Sjögren's disease, an autoimmune disorder that causes severe dryness in the eyes and mouth. Eye Doctor Exams (Ophthalmology)An eye doctor checks how well your eyes produce tears and looks for surface damage caused by dryness. )Schirmer’s Test: Small filter paper strips are placed under your lower eyelids for five minutes to measure tear production.Ocular Surface Staining: Special non-toxic dyes (like lissamine green or fluorescein) are put into your eye. The doctor uses a blue light to see dry spots or damage on the cornea.Tear Break-up Time: This measures how fast your tears evaporate off the surface of the eye. [1] The Lip BiopsyA minor salivary gland biopsy of the inner lower lip inflammation. The Procedure: A doctor (such as an ENT, oral surgeon, or oral medicine specialist) numbs the inside of your lower lip with a local anesthetic. They make a tiny cut to remove about 4 to 6 tiny salivary gland clusters. Stitches are often placed and dissolve. What it Finds: A pathologist checks the tissue under a microscope for clusters of white blood cells (lymphocytic infiltration) that attack. Recovery: Numbness wears off in a couple of hours. The site heals fast, though mild swelling or temporary tingling can happen. You can learn more about what to expect from the Sjögren’s Foundation Lip Biopsy.
