What are your experiences with Cyclosporine?

I’ve been using cyclosporine for close to 15 years and memory was never impacted…. I’d ask your doctor… take care!

I’ve been on Cequa (eye drops for three months. My memory hasn’t worsened but short term has been very bad since my RA diagnosis.

I’ve also been on cyclosporine for 10 years now and my memory has not been impacted. Do you take Statins? They are known for impacting memory loss. Cyclosporine PLUS other drugs could also be causing a drug-drug reaction, which could be impacting your memory. Check with your pharmacist to see if any meds you’re currently taking along with cyclosporine are negative impacted. Cyclosporine along with amlodipine is NOT good. That was my one experience. Paxlovid cannot be used with Cyclosporine. Check if there are other symptoms you are experiencing, every time you add a new drug. Always check with you pharmacist when in doubt when adding any new meds.

Interesting, I am recently diagnosed RA and now on Orencia infusions plus 9mg of Prednisone. I have been noticing my short term memory has gotten bad. Now I wonder is it RA or the medications?

I do believe my memory has worsened since my diagnosis four years ago.

@2brussels I’m prone to rare medical problems as most of us are since we’re Mayo patients. I’m going to see my local PCP next week so he can start tracking the memory issues. I just wanted to be sure to explore all avenues. I didn’t mean to cause any alarm, so be sure and check with your doctor. I also had an anoxic brain injury when I was 22 so this could also be related to that.
