PSA INCREASE - IS IT OK?

70 YEAR OLD, GLEASON 7 (4+3), RADIATION/BRACHYTHERAPY/ADT FINISHED JUNE 24. PSA OCT 25-0.344, JAN 26-0.136, FEB 26-0.151, MAY 0.162, AUG-0.179.
SHOULD I BE CONCERNED,IS THAT OK.

@diverjer The 0.1 or 0.2 thresholds for recurrence are after surgery, since PSA has to be essentially zero. After RT the criterion is nadir plus 2.

Thanks, that makes things much clearer. Since I had surgery, I didn't know about nadir + 2.

@cochuir The only recommendation would be to track testosterone and full bloodwork with every PSA test, that way you’ll know if anything is trending in the wrong direction and can take quick action if it does.

And get a genetic (germline) test if you have the opportunity.
