What brought you joy today?
If you've been living with cancer for a while, you know it's not all gloom and doom. Where did you find joy today? I'll start:
1. Working in my garden.
2. Meeting my daughter for tea.
3. Home-made pizza for dinner.
4. My spouse (always).
5. Some interesting online discussions.
6. Rereading a good novel.

Exactly! I had a very sad thought when I bought those tickets. What if I won’t be there, that will be sad for my family. But as you said we need to get on with life. A very wise person once said to me “fear doesn’t stop death, it stops life”
Congratulations for making it through 5 years. I’ve just passed 4 years of breast cancer. Here is to many years to come for both of us.

2 ReactionsMy new garden flag is a cute frog with a knapsack saying, “I hope something good happens to you today.” I first saw it on a bumper sticker and the goodwill gesture just made me smile. So I jumped on Amazon and found the garden flag now by my condo front door where lots of neighbors and vendors will see it daily. It still makes me smile and hopefully lots of other people now too.
I hope something good happens to all of you joyful people today!!! ❤️

I think I got the quote from @loribmt .
I believe the next line is “worrying doesn’t take away tomorrow’s troubles, it takes away today’s peace”.
Well, when I run into some issues I still can’t help the worry part. I have to get busy so I don’t think about it. The night is the worst when I wake up and couldn’t go back to sleep. But when I worry too much, I get very tired. So I gave up. My attitude would then be “what’s the heck. I don’t care anymore.”

5 ReactionsI performed a wedding. The first pastoral thing I've done in over two years. It felt very good. And a couple, they were wonderful. The whole service was a joy.

Thanks for sharing these thoughts about worrying. I looked it up and I"m trying a new FB page that post more about how our worrying can undo what peace we hold.
This is what I so enjoy about this forum. Picking up and learning small supportive info from folks sharing some tidbits.

5 ReactionsGetting to know our new car (our first, EV, a Chevy Bolt). This represents another act of faith that I'll have a future. This won't be my last new car.
