What brought you joy today?
If you've been living with cancer for a while, you know it's not all gloom and doom. Where did you find joy today? I'll start:
1. Working in my garden.
2. Meeting my daughter for tea.
3. Home-made pizza for dinner.
4. My spouse (always).
5. Some interesting online discussions.
6. Rereading a good novel.

Hello, I’m Rod
I was diagnosed with Pancreatic cancer in February of 2023.
I started out with chemo for 6 months, then surgery, Laproscopic Pancreatectomy -Pyloric Preserving whipple Pancreas head.. successful surgery only one lymph that had a microscopic cancer cell left, I’ve had no recurrence.
So thankful for the Mayo staff to get me through the surgery!
This November 2026 it will be 3 years in remission

8 Reactions@1954now wonderful.
Thank you, very encouraging to hear about the things in this life that can bring joy, especially in times of living with cancer.
My joy is that God has given me one more day to enjoy His creation and also to read and meditate on His Word. True joy does not come from our circumstances, but who God is and what He is doing in our lives in this season .

5 ReactionsAll I can say is “God’s glory is our Joy”
and “He is enough”
God is with us and sees us in our pain
He is also with us in our Joy.

6 ReactionsA nice lady at the insurance company reduced my yearly car insurance of $930 down to $625! That was an answer to a prayer for an 80 year old lady on a rather limited income! God knows of all our needs and how to meet them!
