Anyone had HALN for massive ADPKD kidney removal?

Even though the medical literature strongly advocates HALN for ADPKD kidneys up to 30 cm., I haven't yet found one surgeon willing to perform such on mine (at 27 cm.)?
Can anyone decrypt the disparity for me?

@gzr63 Was set for surgery 05/05/26 but had accident on electric scooter! Surgery cancelled! Meanwhile, back home recovering, doximityGPT says "NO!" to bilateral nephrectomy when RKF~800 ml./day!
Now, 09/04/26 down from 800 to 550 ml/day. Will seek unilateral nephrectomy if/when RKF drops to <200 ml/day and/or symptoms override risk of 10% major cardiac "event" (given age/comorbidities).
