Video, How to Use the Nebulizer

Posted by marthaannie72 @marthaannie72, 2 days ago

Last year a woman in this support group posted a great video of herself showing how she uses the nebulizer. She showed her kitchen sink area and her sterilizer. She then showed herself using the nebulizer in front of her computer while she played a game on the computer. I can't find the video now. Does anyone have a link to it or the username of the woman who shared it? Thanks!

Hi Sue. Do you know where you can purchase the device shown in the video that dries the nevulizing equipment?

@sshusted
Look at https://www.saveritemedical.com (does not require prescription here)
Search for nebulizers

A gas stove was being used in the video. Have others received advice about that?

@ingrid1947 What advice? Yes, the byproducts of natural gas combustion can are not ideal, but we cannot eliminate every risk, and retrofitting is not always feasible. And one would need to not only replace the gas range, but the furnace, water heater and clothes dryer.

We mitigate the risk by running an exhaust fan while cooking, and the other appliances are isolated in a separate room with its own fresh air intake.

For us, conversion is not an option, and even if we did it, we would simply be replacing indoor pollution with outdoor pollution since our electrical grid is 90% powered by natural gas. If every home in our area switched to all-electric, we would overwhelm the power grid.

In Dr Honda's heirarchy of things to be concerned about, cooking with gas falls very far down the list.

@sshusted she is using a baby bottle sterilizer but only the dry cycle since she has already boiled the equipment to sterilize. If using a nasal rinse it also looks like she has the drying rack for the Neilmed squeeze bottles in the background as well.
