Thank you so much for the responses, however since I posted all this I discovered the culprit. The Eliquis was causing the issues. I was switched from years of being on Warfarin to Eliquis "cause it was easier to manage and didn't have to have labs every month." Sometimes "easy" is not the answer. Found a 2023 and about 8 case studies reflecting just what I was going through. Spoke with the Pulmo, we discontinued the Eliquis, wen back on the Warfarin and I haven't been dizzy or had vertigo since. Lost 8 months of my life and ability to be active, mobile, work-out playing patty-cake with ENT and neuro!

3 Reactions@lauracox12 hi not sure if your still on here. But I’ve been diagnosed with scds also but I have to get surgery I constantly feel like I’m underwater and really sensitive to sounds. Is there any other solution besides surgery do u know ? Does your son have these symptoms ? Thanks
Jeralyn
@jostrowski74 my problem was finally determined as bilateral occipital neuralgia. Im not sure what scd is or what kind of surgery you are getting. Neck, I have 3 fusions and spinal cord stimulator.
Hi! Tx for responding! I dont know of surgery option except not having it. I havent found treatment but plan to go to Mayo for help and diagnosis as no one will order MRI or CT scan without going further than I can drive safely. No, son doesnt have but I believe there have been connections within families mother/child and siblings and migraine like headaches which I suffered as have siblings n parents. I cant quote medical sources nor interpret but look in medical schools and larger facilities and NIH. There is info out there but it helps to comprehend. I have found keeping head more elevated and not sleeping on side helps. Hurts too much anyway. I also reduce pain levels with total quiet and subdued lighting. Do u have autophony? Told need to see ENT but that has not been available opening. There is more info out there about some things which may help but doesnt cure. I am overwhelmed by fatigue, confusion, some spatial things, balance? And certain sounds are excruciating! And not accurately heard and my hearing aids sometimes are worthless or too painful and prefer quietude. Other symptoms. Tell me about your situation and what we might do, please. I wish you health and improvement! J
I dont quote nor interpret med info as I do not believe we are supposed to herein.
I suffered from dizziness and falling for over two years. After testing, MRI's, etc, I could not get any answers. Ironically, my doctor changed my meds for depression, and it all went away. Sometimes, you just have to get lucky with solutions. Modern medicine has a way to go yet!
