How about a laugh, (hopefully)
I believe laughter is the best medicine. Laughter has actually been scientifically proven to help people with depression issues.
Let’s give it a try so we can all get happy and feel better. Many Epilepsy forums I’ve been on had joke sections. I was probably the biggest joke of all since I didn’t get a lot of the jokes. They said the jokes couldn’t be above 4th grade level for me to understand them so my jokes may be rather simplistic but let’s give it a try.
Have a lovely day everyone,
Jake

5 ReactionsA wealthy old man decides to go on an African safari and brings his faithful little terrier along for the trip. One afternoon, the dog wanders off chasing butterflies and realizes he’s completely lost in the bush.
Suddenly, he notices a hungry leopard prowling toward him with a look that says lunch is served. The terrier panics for a second, but then spots a pile of old bones lying nearby. He quickly sits down, turns his back to the approaching predator, grabs a bone, and starts gnawing on it.
Just as the leopard is about to pounce, the terrier loudly licks his lips and shouts, "Boy, that was one delicious leopard! I wonder if there are any more around here to eat?" Hearing this, the leopard freezes in terror, slips back into the trees, and mutters, "Phew! That was close. That tiny dog almost got me!"
Up in a nearby tree, a monkey watches the whole thing and decides he can use this secret to bargain with the leopard for protection. He swings over, finds the leopard, and tells him how the terrier tricked him. Furious at being made a fool of, the leopard snarls, "Hop on my back, monkey, and watch what I do to that little liar!"
Meanwhile, the terrier sees the leopard returning with the monkey on his back and realizes what happened. Instead of running, he sits down facing away from them again, pretends he hasn't seen them, and waits until they get close enough to hear.
Then, he lets out a heavy sigh and says,
"Where is that useless monkey? I sent him out twenty minutes ago to fetch me another leopard!"

2 ReactionsI like the leopard tale…
I watch Bugs Bunny cartoons, just like I did with my siblings growing up as we howled with laughter along with our dad. Just remembering the toons make me smile. I send snippets of these moments to my sibling who has cancer.
I also laugh with glee at the silliness of Monty Python and Mel Brooks movies and skits. I own every single release and never tire if them. Who couldn’t laugh at a serf clapping together coconut shells to substitute for a horses hooves because the movie budget couldn’t afford real horses? It’s silly but that’s the point!

One of my favorite Mont Python lines:
A guy goes to the doctor. The doctor says:
"There's nothing wrong with you that costly treatment won't prolong."

A new Dad Joke I wrote last night:
Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson are at home at 221B Baker Street.
Holmes says, "A puzzle for you, Watson. When is a game not a game?"
Watson thinks for a moment and replies, "I'm confounded, Holmes. When *is* a game not a game?"
Holmes says, "Elementary, my dear Watson. When the game is afoot!"
