Side effects leaving after EVENITY.

I am expecting dose 8 of EVENITY. I have had a few side effects mainly joint pain in hips and legs. I am curious to know from others who have finished EVENITY if the side effects disappear over time. I find that the joint pain comes and goes. I am very active and find that the joint pain really interferes with life. Thanks.

I finished 12 months Evenity in July and my end of Aug. Dexa showed 15.4% overall improvement and my spine went from osteoperosis to ostopenia. Improvements in each area. Now I am on weekly Alendronate.

Wow! I really appreciate your post. I will complete 12 months of Evinity in 2 weeks and am so grateful that my only side effects have been occasional soreness after injections (arm and stomach). I will follow with Alendronate, as well.

Wow! I really appreciate your post. I will complete 12 months of Evinity in 2 weeks and am so grateful that my only side effects have been occasional soreness after injections (arm and stomach). I will follow with Alendronate, as well.

I did not have side effects with Evenity either. I am happy doing the Alendronate after, best choice for me.

So glad ur side effects are gone, but did you have them the whole year of injections? I may be going on Evenity in October. I had ankle pain for the last 6 months on Tymlos and it wasn’t fun.

@dooshie I began hand pain my 4th month on Evenity - every knuckle, every finger. And my knees are stressing a bit. I am looking forward to finishing with Evenity in another 6 months.

I understand that the pains caused by Evenity typically subside after treatment is finished; timing varies depending on the individual. I’m looking forward to being done.

Can you tell me what exercises you plan to do with weights? When you say food, is there food you plan to stay away from or add to your diet? I have another 6 months of Evenity and was not happy to learn that another medication may be urged as a follow up, presumably with more possible side effects. My finger joint pain is very disconcerting as it is.

Be very careful going off prolia. I’m just finished with my 12 month of Evenity. I’m going to go the holistic way now. Weights, exercises, and food.

@fightthisthing - I am doing the same after finishing Evenity. How are you doing now...almost 2 yrs since this post? I've also included HRT as part of my follow-up to Evenity.

@pokey Check out the research paper from this year by Dr. Benjamin Leder. If the romosozumab (Evenity) continues to give you problems then you may be able to move on to your lock-in-gains drug sooner than 12 months. Just a possibility based on new research out of Harvard.

I’ve been taking algeaCal plus with strontium and my bones have increased by 5-11% and I’m happy!
