CBD for Pain Relief?

Has anyone tried using CBD for pain relief…whether it was eaten, smoked or used topically?

Yes, I do get relief. I have Savella and gabapentin and LDN for daily pills. I use the topical when I’m having a bad case of pain. Especially my neck, shoulders and back. I can put it on about a half hour before bed and it helps me fall asleep. It’s just one of the many little things to have in your cabinet to help out. And I’m not sure if you got it already, but I get the. Ointment in a jar instead of the cream. The cream doesn’t seem to last as long. I just added it to my heat wraps, lidocaine patches, heating pad, and this cream to use as needed. We just have to keep a lot of tricks in our bag for different things that feel bad. Good luck.

When you say you add it to your heat wraps, patches, etc., do you mean you put the ointment on and then put one of the rest on top of it?

I use CBD/Thc topical cream. I can put it specific in an area and get relief for 2-3 hours. Then I reapply. Perfect before bed. I do read that you need both CBD/THC combo to better activate the CBD. Not one to one unless you want. Weed is legal in Oregon so I listen to the weed specialist. Unfortunately if I use THC, my pain gets worse. Weird body cuz we’re all different lol. 😂

I get the same reaction when I use the THC!! I thought I was the only weird one whose pain gets worse rather than better. I tell people that, and they look at me like I am out in left field. It is nice to have someone else who gets the same bad results!

They all work independently. The patch I use if I want something that will stay on all day as I go out and about but the weed ointment works the best for immediate relief. It does smell a bit like weed so I use at home. Really works to relieve my neck and shoulders. If legal where you live they have ointment and cream. I think ointment is more effective in going into the skin. Not a cure but sure relieves pain for a couple hours.
