Anyone think sarcoidosis and neuro sarcoidosis is hereditary?

Posted by sherry863 @sherry863, 2 days ago

I watched my mom have some of the same issues I am having, the same bad blood test I am having, but she was never diagnosed with neuro sarcoidosis. Her doctor's explained everything as diabetic neuropathy and then dementia and several other diagnosis. Now my daughter is having some of the same issues I am having and my other two daughters are having issues too. Is there anyway this could be hereditary?

@sherry863 , will you use biologics. Do your doctors think it is autoimmune?

Yes, I have confirmed biopsy for sarcoidosis. I went to doctor for years they just told me I was getting older in my 30's. Then when I was 44 I ended up in hospital for 3 weeks. I had stage 3 sarcoidosis in lungs. My lymph nodes were swollen so big it was pressing against my lungs. I thought I was having a heart attack. My left arm and back were burning and I thought that meant heart attack. I have several nerve issues. Too many issues to list. Trying to get appointment at Mayo clinic. My white blood cell count is low I read that happens with sarcoidosis. I really need a doctor who knows something about this disease who can give me a treatment plan. I am so worried about going blind and my nerve damage getting worse
