Hi ~ Just finished Evenity. Scheduled for Reclast infusion in September. I am rethinking this continuance with Reclast. I developed a bone spur and OsteoArthritis in my left wrist, some bone pain and achy joints. Has anyone's doctor advised not continuing the follow up drugs?

@clarbs6, the endocrinologist at Stanford who ran the clinical trials says that he hardly ever give the medication the second year, as the effects are sufficient for two years in most patients. You might ask for bone markers in September and again in February to see if you need the infusion.

@clarbs6 What does your doctor say about your achy joints and osteoarthritis? My endocrinologist told me that I needed to have the Reclast infusion to make sure to "lock in" the gains I made after 12 months of Evenity.

Here is a website that explains this:

What do you think about this explanation?
