Has anyone found psilocybin experiences to be helpful with aging?

Posted by littleoaksc52 @littleoaksc52, 1 day ago

It has been reported that psilocybin experiences can be very helpful for senior citizens struggling with the challenges of aging, similar to the benefits discovered by PTSD victims resulting from war experiences. Has anyone found psilocybin experiences to be helpful with aging?

Thank you, Ed, for caring enough to caution me regarding the use of psilocybins. I've been studying the recent medical uses for them regarding PTSD and am a long-time spiritual student and practicer of yoga and Eastern philosophy. I've followed various spiritual teachers including T.N.H., and have read multiple descriptions of others' psychedelic experiences. If you want to discuss further, we could message in a more private venue. I don't know if you are local in Los Alamos or somewhere else, but regardless, thanks for your input.

One link is for the Cleveland clinic and one is for a supplement, but there's no mention of whether it was recommended and by whom. If psilocybin (mentioned in a prior comment) is the psychoactive drug found in some mushrooms, then I will pass. I don't feel like being a guinea pig today. I have more than enough issues already.

NAD is not a part of this discussion of psychedelics. It is a completely different animal.

I was replying to the poster with comments on NAD that came after the original psychedelics comment. Both topics are in this discussion thread on page 1.

Yes. I honestly get tired of someone posting a question and then someone else introducing a new subject. That is why I asked that the original question not be diluted with another. It makes me weary.

It seems to happen more often than not so we have to go with the flow.

I'd like to request that the moderator remove the off topic replies and create a new topic for NAD+.
