Does Anybody have Experience with Rinvoq ?
My wife is about to start taking Rinvoq and I wanted to try and get a feel for what people’s experiences were in real life vs what is projected

I took rinvoq for years but my liver count goy too high. My Rheumatologist found this through bloodwork, so i had to stop immediately and switch drug s to zeljanz.

Thank you for that and it is good to know. The rheumatologist and the hepatologist, the liver specialist, picked this even though my wife has had high liver enzymes, but I think there are multiple trade-offs with these biologic, especially if you have comorbidities.
i just asked my ra dr. about rinvoq yesterday... he said orencia is safer

3 Reactionsi’ve been taking Rinvoq for a year now with no problems thankfully. I’ve also taken xeljanz for a few years prior to that. They both worked well for me with no issues.

Thank you for responding. If you do not mind me asking, did you have any heart or liver considerations in making that decision for the medication?
I have RA, lupus and sec. Sjogrins and was on Rinvoq for 4ish months. Worked absolutely great for the brain fog, confusion and memory loss. For me, it didn’t really help my RA but did calm it down some. One thing to note is it can cause BAD forehead acne. For the first month my never before acne head was covered in bumps but afterwards went away once you adjust. It’s very fast acting and thats the only symptom i had. It definitely has promise, just think I’m a little to complex for it unfortunately but wish your wife well!

1 ReactionI’ve been on it for about a year & have had absolutely no problems with taking it. It cleared up my psoriasis on both feet within a week. This is the best biologic I’ve ever been on & I’ve been on a few. Get in touch with Abbie who makes it & see if you can get it for free or even less cost. I pay absolutely $0 for mine. Good Luck!!

1 Reaction@bens1 no liver issues. I do have some mild tachycardia but my Dr. feels the benefits of the drug outweigh any risks .

1 ReactionI have also been on Rinvoq since April2026 for Temporal Arteritis. The only issue I have with Rinvoq is that I do tire easily. Apparently that can be one of the side affects. Other than that it appears to be helping. We do blood draws every 3 or 4 months to check the liver and I think its kidney counts. So far no issues. I have tried Actemra and Methotrexate. Those did not work for me as I had bad side affects. Hopefully your wife will have good luck with Rinvoq. Best of luck to you both. Keep us posted on how it goes.
