Any suggestions for expelling tenacioius mucus plugs?
Despite drinking lots of fluids (mostly water) and using 7% saline in my Aerobica twice a day, my CT scans consistently show mucus plugs deep in my lungs. Maybe it's because I live in such a dry climate (southern AZ) but I have a difficult time getting phlegm up. I'd appreciate any suggestions. Thanks!

Has anyone tried using a foam roller? My pulmonologist (Dr Zha) suggested it. I just tried it and it doesnt seem to work but maybe I am not doing it right.
She has also ordered the Volara for me so will see how that goes. She described it as a device that combines the Aerobika with a nebulizer.

1 Reaction@sayaboleh I had not heard of the foam roller. I just looked it up and can see how using it on the back could help....but...for some laying on a hard surface on the floor could be a problem.
How were you told or was it suggested for you to use it? How are you using it?
Interesting but even though I am reasonably good shape at nearly 84 I would probably be calling out "I'm down and can't get up." 🤣
Maybe backing up to it on the wall and going up and down with it as you pressed against it??? Is that what you are doing???🤔 I like the idea of the foam roller for a couple of reasons.
