Would a breast MRI be helpful?

I hoping the breast oncologist will put the order in.

The oncologist put in the order for that and Genetic Teating.

I had significant problems that weren’t being addressed by my team. I feared IBC. I finally went to the ER where I was finally treated with care for a severe infection, not IBC.

I went to the ER already and they said I don’t have an infection. However, I did start to run a low grade fever and it’s now a subtle red color that started on the 11th and is moving from the lower breast to the top of it.

I am so sorry for your current suffering with inflammatory symptoms, for I know how painful it is...

Please contact your primary care physician as soon as possible - if you haven't done so - to make sure there's not any immediate infection somewhere. I remember you mentioned in the previous post that your oncologist ordered an MRI scan and Genetic Testing for you already, what are the results? Hopefully your oncologist and care team will pay extra attention to these results and provide you with the best treatment plan going forward.

Hello and good morning. My MRI and Genetics tests are this coming week. I’ll let you all know the results and hopefully the doctor’s can figure out what’s going on.

Sending positive vibes into the universe for you! Have you had a mammogram before? Unless you're not at all claustrophobic I recommend taking at least a light sedative. If you want details about breast MRIs, let me know.

@kaforester3 I meant breast MRI on my post. Completely different experience than a mammo!
