Over years of many doctors who passed out pills and nothing else, I realized changing my diet was the best. I tend to research online @
NIH ( National institute of Health)
Or Johns Hopkins , even Stanford University Med. Of course Mayo website is very helpful.
You might check out gastroenterologist, Dr. Will Bulsiewicz, MD , he has a website and also a podcast on YouTube. He was a researcher for Northwestern university. Sensible, no nonsense and the right foods!
Best of Health to you !
Blessings, Diane Tx

Back in 2019 I weaned myself off of nexium and learned about DGL tablets for reflux. It's a licorice root extract that you can buy online or in health food stores. I'm not sure which reason you can't take ppis and there are some precautions with DGL so you'd have to research it a bit but I wanted to leave the information here for you or anyone else who's looking for a natural alternative to ppis.

@skim3737
You are correct I use DGL it is very good. I find it better than
Tums. I find PPL’s shut down to much acid. I’m also using 20 mg. Pepcid which is better.
