I have spinal stenosis and went to Mayo Clinic. Doctor there recommended having surgery even though I have a pacemaker, allergies to lots of medications and Pain meds, left illiac stent, hashimoto, hemochromatosis, and AFIB. I asked what the alternatives to surgery were at which time he left the room. His staff has been very unhelpful and do not correspond and I have never heard back from him or them. The other folks at Mayo are wonderful and have listened. I have ended up having injections - still in pain but am trying to live with it.

@rcortez52 That certainly sounds like a difficult situation but in the positive side, it’s great you can still walk some. Maybe do several short walks instead of one long one. You might also ask about physical therapy although you may have already done that. Just keep looking for ways to help with your pain. I wish you well.
