Can I consult an orthopedic doctor for free?

Probably depends on your insurance and if you have met your deductible. But they will most likely need to be compensated first their time. You can certainly call the office and ask before making an appointment.

@dgalil, getting free access to healthcare depends on where you live and what insurance coverage you may have. If you do not have access to universal health care or are uninsured, some doctors and/or hospitals have charitable or financial assistance programs.

Technically your parents should have you covered under their health insurance until you’re 26 if you’re a student? Since you’re only 18 did you see pediatric doctors for your hand issue(s)? Since your body is still growing better to get this corrected now before it becomes a chronic problem.

I think in most cases an ortho Dr. is gonna charge for a visit. I have insurance and still have to pay a $45 copay everytime I see a specialist. I'm not complaining. I've had both knees, right hip, and left shoulder replaced and my part of the bills were very small.

I was able to contact neuro surgeons by email sending them questions and sent them all the test results. They all responded. One also called me. Also did same with a dermatologist so yes it can be done
