I’ve been using the embrlabs Wave Device for about five years. It is most usable at night. I used to wake up with a sheet wet under me. Wearing the wave device using the all night mode. I no longer have a problem. It wasn’t as beneficial for the serious hot flashes during the day. It helped a little. My hot flashes aren’t as bad after eight years on ADT, but I still have to use the device at night and it still works really well to keep me from waking up with hot flashes.
If you do get one, post a message and I can send you instructions for how to configure it ideally. I’ve been working with the company for five years, was even in one of their TV commercials. I found many bugs in their Software that they’ve fixed.

To set the device for the best configuration
Click the bottom left Feel button, scroll down to hot flashes and click it. Scroll down the hot flash cooler five click it, click on “hot flash cooler five” and hit start session. Click the Now round button where you hit start and it will stop the session. Now go back to the main feel screen. Hot flash cooler 5 Should be first in the list, hit the three dots in the right corner, Click on edit and make the temperature level maximum a five. Hit. Save Session. Want to repeat this for all night cool. Click the bottom left Feel button, scroll down to hot flashes and click it Pick all night cool, set The number of hours you want And start it. Then stop it and go back to the main feel screen all night cool Should be the first thing listed. Click the three dots select edit put the cooling on maximum all over to five and hit save session.
Now You have to set the buttons for what you want. To do that you go to settings/session presets. Click on “dotted button” and pick the hot flash five minute. It will probably be second in the list. Select it and hit OK.
Click blank button And select all night cool. Hit ok. DONE!
You now are configured hit the button with the raised dot two times and it will give you five minutes of cooling. Try hitting it the moment you start to feel the hot flash. It will come on a little bit and then will not get so intense.. When you’re ready to go to bed, double click the blank button and it will send cold waves. Occasionally you won’t even notice it at night, but it should stop flashes.
You can always reduce the cooling by following the above instructions.

Yes, I'm taking Orgovyx, but was still getting hot flashes, not the sheet drenching sweats like @jeffmarc described, but pretty uncomfortable. @jeffmarc was kind enough to send me his settings for the device and they are very useful. Like Jeff stated, not very effective during the day, but a 9 hour cool at night has given me very restful and comfortable nights. I did buy a different stretchy band for mine, there are many on Amazon, don't confuse them with an Apple Watch band, totally different.
@jeffmark I charge my Embr 2 in the same room I am in the evening. But when I get up to go to bed the device and my phone have lost bluetooth connectivity. Just pushing my nighttime 9 hr button doesn't activate the device, I have to physically activate on my phone, after a screen pops up and asks me to connect. Any thoughts?
Edit: I just read your directions for @arliewright, I must have totally missed the double click to activate. I just tried it for a 5 minute hot flask and worked perfect. Thank you!

If the device is not being found, you need to go into the app and under settings Add remove device remove it. Go to Bluetooth and remove it from there. Then open back up the app and you can re-join the device to the app. If it doesn’t come up and find it go to settings and you can do it in there under add remove device. He will Probablyhave to reconfigure the sessions presets so that they have the correct button for hot flash and all night.
I am in my 47th week of Lupron, and unfortunately I never got relief from the hot flashes. Tried numerous meds. Everyone's reaction is different, so all I can do is advise you to keep trying different approaches and hopefully something helps. Best of luck to you.
Thank you and I’m sorry that you haven’t found relief. I’m about to try a wristband. Hope it works some at least. The lack of sleep is the worst part.

I had terrible hot flashes when I was first on Lupron. They went on for a year when my oncologist prescribed a depo provera Shot. That is a birth control drug for women. It does not cause breast enlargement in men. It pretty much stopped my hot flashes completely, Until I went on Zytiga. Then they came back, just not quite as heavy.
I would wake at night with the shit wet under me When I was on Zytiga. About five years ago, I started using the Embrlabs Wave device. Looks like a wristwatch that you wear underneath your wrist. It says cold waves through your body to stop the hot flashes, Technology invented by MIT. It really worked great at night, allowed me to sleep through. During the day if I had a strong hot flash, it didn’t help a lot, But it was better than nothing when I didn’t have a fan.
Here is a list of drugs recommended by a Mayo doctor during one of their monthly talks.
Thanks for the info. I tried 4 meds on the list and none helped. I wish I had found this group earlier so I knew of these other options. I've got just a few weeks to go so I guess I'll tough it out. Small consolation is my oncologist said the hot flashes are the first of the side effects to fade away.
