I've used a classic neti pot and also NeilMed, which seems to get the squirt up higher. Then, upon the advice of my nurse sister-in-law, I bend over from the waist and blow...immediately or sometimes a while later, I get a glob of usually yellow mucus...so it seems evident that I've got recirculating mucus which tends to infection. After reading your experience, I checked out Navage. The kit's pretty pricey, and I didn't understand the seemingly conflicting description, which mentioned increasing the flow but also suction. So which is it? Does is just start the flow-rinse by pushbutton (electric instead of manual) or is it actually sucking gook out of the nose? They seem opposite strategies. Can't find a proper explanation on their website. Thanks!

@shashig I have been using my Navage-like device for a couple of weeks. To answer your question, there are two nasal tips that go firmly into your nose. There are three power settings. One light is the lowest setting and is the one you should start on. The nasal tips are in a holder that has two tubes going into it. The holder gets pulled out of the base and has about 12" of tubing. You push the power button once, put the nasal tips into your nostrils, then press the power button on the holder, which is facing you. The device will power up, sending the saline solution through your sinuses and out the opposite nostril and into a collection reservoir. When about half the saline solution has been dispensed from the saline reservoir, release the power button on the holder. The flow of saline will stop. Now, here's the important part: remove the holder from your nose and rotate it 180 degrees so that the power button on the holder facing away from you . Insert the nasal tips into your nostrils and push the power button. The saline will now flow the same direction, but, since the tubes have essentially flipped, the flow of saline will go seemingly the opposite direction. I have to blow for quite a while to get all the saline out of my sinuses and, occasionally, a yellowish glob of mucus. Looks like we both need to see an ENT. Hope this helps.
