Has anyone had Fibrin (Disceel) or PRP treatment for lumbar and sciatica pain?

Yes, I just had it a few months ago, and the procedure and post-op care has been less than ideal for me.

Search "My Painful Journey with Dr. Kevin Pauza's DiscSeel Procedure" on YT and you'll hear my experience on it

Hi, @nic12 - wondering if you decided to pursue the fibrin sealant or platelet-rich plasma (PRP) treatment? If so, how did it go?

Hi, I have not tried this yet. I completed 8 months of PT and tried steroid injections and acupuncture. I am still experiencing a lot of pain from what I believe is a pinched sciatica nerve. We are in the processing of moving to Michigan so I will need to find someone local once we complete the move.

I have failed back surgery syndrome (fbss) after 3 lumbar surgeries. I've been through all the conventional pain mgmt treatments (ESI's, RFA's, etc), and got no relief. So now I'm going to see a physiatrist who does the Discseel procedure, which supposedly helps reinforce your vertebral discs. It's not covered by insurance or Medicare, and it's not cheap, but like they say... Your money or your life! Has anyone else tried this procedure?

@lisalucier Hi Lisa, thank you so much for steering me in the right direction. Watching these videos is VERY enlightening. I take 10 mg oxycodone every 6 hours to help manage my pain. Thanks again!
