bone scan
Good morning, any info would be helpful, quick summary I'm 67 years old, coming off two previous cancers. I was diagnosed with prostate cancer, Gleason score of 9, two years ago. Finished my ADT therapy along with 42 x radiotherapy. I had no cancer outside of the prostate. My PSA is great >.3., but my testrone number is zero. I have been having severe pain in my joints ( wrists , hands, knees) also pain in my hip and back. My oncologist ordered a full bone scan. Just seeing if anyone had similar experience. I feel like I'm 90 . I know that the ADT effects' the joints, Is there any treatment that can help ?

ADT affects bone density. If you haven't had a bone density scan, you might request one.
Thanks for the response I had one last year, found osteopenia in the hip that’s bothering me now
It took me more than 9 months after I stopped ADT for my joint pain to significantly diminish. I did have physical therapy and I did exercise at the gym also.

1 Reaction@ededed thanks again for the response, same here as far as the gym, didn't think about physical therapy, will have to try. Did you testosterone numbers come up at all, it's been 8 months of no ADT therapy and they are still zero
