Neuropathy scams update
I fell hard for a scam from Quiet Nerves because the AI promoter was Dr. Yoshinori Ohsume, a Nobel Prize Winning Dr of Medicine. He spun a good tale about his wife's neuropathy. I knew of him. Knew he was legit and bought $850 of the supplements that "cured" his wife. It never occurred to me that it was AI until I got off line and went searching for the Quiet Nerves website (one page). I'm disputing it with my bank for fraud. And QN is now offering me a 50% refund. This came in my email yesterday.
"The New York Times found hundreds of A.I.-generated doctors, healers and wellness influencers on social media touting the health benefits of supplements to American consumers. Many of these hyperrealistic looking ads promise medical miracles, and appear to be targeting older women, while making misleading health claims for a profit."

@blowerk1216 Lyrica, Gabapentin, and others didn't work for me.
@blowerk1216 I tried Pregabalin (generic Lyrica), 150 mg three times daily for a while but it didn't help.
When I first injured my back=in 2017, I was put on gabapentin, diazepam, and tramadol. This combo made me a little dizzy at first. As I got used to it, I got quite a bit of pain relief. Those days are long gone.
I think that we are all in agreement. All perpetrators of online neuropathy scams should be shut down and sued in a class action suit.

1 Reaction@jillkellyauthor That's the trick with these scammers. They hope that giving you half your money back will appease you, This way they still get a nice paycheck.
@jillkellyauthor I hope can get every penny of your hard-earned money back. These companies hope that you will settle for 50%. That still gives them a tidy profit.
@heisenberg34 my research indicates that it has been determined that you have to be at 300 mg/day minimum and ideally up to 600 mg/day for maximum benefit.
@heisenberg34 And I suspect it's like gym memberships. People pay and don't ask for a refund (or use the gym)
@jillkellyauthor I once bought this highly detailed model car for my brother-in-law online. The car came, but it looked nothing like the highly detailed car in the picture. It was a little toy model car you could pick up at any yard sale for $.50. I wrote back and complained to the company. It was obviously some Chinese company. They really wanted me to take a partial refund. But I complained to the people in the know at eBay and eventually, I got my full refund back. But it took all kinds of jumping through hoops. I certainly hope you don’t have to go through anything like I did. I wish you well.
