I don't know if this counts as a treatment, but I've heard that the bland diet can be helpful

Yes, diet is a big thing. I love coffee and it is not helping. I will stop drinking it to see if my stomach feels better. Thanks for the input 😀

@mitch4444 I had acid reflux and I switched to a low acid coffee from a company called "Lifeboost". You can order beans or ground, choose your roast - dark to light, flavors also available. Another option is to switch to Ryze - it's a mushroom coffee and I have enjoyed for a few years - comes in dark or light roast. I find I do need to add to it to make it flavorful - a touch of sweetness with stevia and almond milk.
PPI's are not good for the gut even if you feel better. Once you go off them, your symptoms return. I went through that. It's best if you can work with a nutritionist with knowledge about gut issues who can guide you. My doctor had one and she was invaluable.
Best of luck to you,

Hello,
I’m an 80yr old senior. I no longer have gastritis, but dealing with Barrettes and stomach issues for 30 yrs. I too cannot take PPIs, causes heart issues for me, and Interrupts the absorption of vital minerals, and vitamins ! I have Recently ( 90 days ago) discovered 2 natural and very excellent gut and esophagus products. “Reflux Raft”, It’s all natural, developed by 2 ENT docs, one is a scientist the other an ENT
( ears/nose/ throat surgeon)!
It’s an alginate complex you swallow, after eating, ( 1 teaspoon) take after each meal, and a nightime one before bed! Not too expensive around thirty dollars for a large tube. For the past 2 mos I have Not been bothered with Gerd nor any esophagus burning!
Refluxraft.com.
My 2nd product I’ve been taking for 60 days, for my “Gut Microbiome”,
Is remarkable!! No more Gerd nor constipation, nor stomach issues.
Developed by a Microbiome gastroenterologist, specialist,
And research doctor: it’s a powder you mix into liquid 1teaspoon.
It’s called, 38TERA. It’s a daily Microbiome nutrition. I’ve had gut issues for so long, 3 decades and feel I have finally found a product that’s doing what it says! And NOT a prescription Drug! 38 Terra costs approximately 50--60 dollars, for a one month supply. My plan is to continue on this for awhile!
Their website:
38tera.com
Of course, along with products the best nutrition is important! I have learned to no longer enjoy all the foods I ate, and trim back to a much healthier diet!
Wishing you improved and Good Health!
May Blessings Surround you!
Diane, Texas

Thank you very much Diana. I find doctors hand out PPIs like candy. I will look into those products. Take care 😄

Hi Diana, how did you cure your Gastritis 🤔

Over years of many doctors who passed out pills and nothing else, I realized changing my diet was the best. I tend to research online @
NIH ( National institute of Health)
Or Johns Hopkins , even Stanford University Med. Of course Mayo website is very helpful.
You might check out gastroenterologist, Dr. Will Bulsiewicz, MD , he has a website and also a podcast on YouTube. He was a researcher for Northwestern university. Sensible, no nonsense and the right foods!
Best of Health to you !
Blessings, Diane Tx
