Too much belching
This started sometime this year, quite early. I started belching a lot, and it's not something that has ever come to me before. I rarely ever belched in the past. But then I belch at least 10 times a day, and it's not a simple one. It can extend dramatically for a few seconds. If I were lying down whenever it starts sitting up will just make it worse in a way. It will come out like my position was restricting it in the first place and it feels relieving after but it still doesn't stop. Recently I don't even have to open my mouth, it will feel as though has is releasing itself inside my body without me prompting, I have not even eaten or swallowed any air when this happens sometimes. Also, other times when I do too much as if trying to expel all the air once and for all, it will feel like I am about to regurgitate my food. It doesn't get to the stage of throwing up but I will feel as if something I ate is coming up before going back down. It's really worrisome. Should I be panicking?

Have you had a ct scan? I have had belching and digestive issues over the years and finally had a ct scan revealing I have stenosis of the proximal celiac artery limiting blood and oxygen to my stomach. The ct scan from 5 years ago did not show it so I guess it got worse recently to cause severe symptoms.

2 Reactions@caroljeand that's scary. I wish you better health soon.
As for me, no. I can't go to the hospital presently because of money and I thought to ask here instead. If it's not too much, can you tell me more of your symptoms? It will help a lot to look at it side by side.
@priscilla9
Sure happy to share.,,
I always had subtle indigestion, occasionally a burping issue that I felt like wasn’t satisfying. I could burp but felt as though it didn’t help the gas. Also diagnosed with the assumption I had IBS because of variable bowel movements, mostly constipation. I think the big thing was I never could eat much at a time and felt happier standing than sitting. I now realize that must have been related, stretching my abdomen for digestion. And I was on acid reducers because I was on a med that irritated my stomach and after a while nothing helped to alleviate the problem. That’s when I knew I had something else going on. I ended up with mushy diarrhea, had stool and blood tests with nothing discovered. The ct showed the problem.
Hope you can get a diagnosis to help you!
Best wishes!!🙏🏻
