My wife has consistent low platelet count, now its 74, apparently she is ok,no fatty liver, no other apparent disease , what could be the possible reason?

@chenn I waited so long because my Doc said it was "up to me." However, after I lost 40 lbs, he said it was no longer optional. And no, he's never put me on any med.

I finally got the results and didn't see anything that worried me. I meet with my oncologist the end of July.

@steveutnv I hope your test results were all good.

It's amazing how long it has taken to get all the results. They still don't have everything. I have a new caregiver (a PA) because the old one retired, and really like him. Without all the results he's not sure but thinks it's likely MDS. I'm very tired of the low (and large) platelets, with any injury a bleeding emergency, but that part was confirmed. Still waiting on the rest of the results.
