Prolia
Hi
I would like to hear from people that have been on prolia a long-term and how it's helped.
I have been on reclast for 4 years I have three fractures in my spine one is 3 years old the other two or two years old I recently woke up with severe back pain and all three vertebrae have collapsed farther I'm really upset. So with my health issues the only medication that I'm able to do now is prolia the injections twice a year I really would like to find out what people have done and how they feel on it

@sue417 My best to you.
@momo03
Are you or were you not able to start or take Tymlos forteo or Evenity?
@sue417 So, I should find a glycinated calcium? Should I take it before I begin Prolia?
@osteopatient2026 My onc just said we would start with Prolia. I have a sinking feeling that my insurance won't cover anything else. Plus, I'm 75 which may inform his decision.
@momo03
Ask about a “letter of medical necessity” from your doctor. That’s what got me covered.

Well that explains your predicament
@osteopatient2026 Thank you! I shall call him now!
@heisenberg34
Can you still switch to original Medicare with a supplemental?
@momo03
Why not an anabolic/bone builder first? Don't know your history or dexa scores but current thinking on osteoporosis medication sequencing is start with an anabolic .
