@gravity3
It is difficult to switch as acceptance is not automatic. No co- pays with plan F, but no longer available to new enrollees The new best coverage is plan G which has a small deductible. Most supplemental plans to traditional Medicare are pricey and the premium rates keep going up with everything else. Most people go with advantage plans to save on premiums, This is ok when you are younger and healthier, but they are designed to cost more as you age and need more care. $300.00 for a shot every 6 mo. is less than I pay in 1 mo. on Traditional Medicare premium, but Traditional is well worth it if you can swing it!

@gravity3 Do you mean switching from Medicare Advantage to original Medicare? If so, I believe that can be done during the open enrollment period which starts at the end of the year.
