Doh! Left a pad in my pants and it exploded in the washing machine

How many have done what I just did-left a spare pad in the back pocket of my pants and threw it into the washing machine.

Dang-the white filler inside the pad explodes and coverd everything in the wash. Dang dang dang.

So, I got out the industrial shop vac and sucked up as much of the white crud off of each piece of clothing as I could. Now throwing it all back in for another rinse cycle.

It looks like if you let the clothes air dry a bit, most of the stuff comes off with the vac. But, if it's made of cotton and dark colored....it doesn't want to let go.

Long day just got longer. Doh!

I did a lot of weird things:

1. I tried to start our car with the TV remote.
2. I put the same TV remote in the refrigerator; we spent the whole day looking for it.
3. I gave the cat Caesar salad dressing instead of her food.

And that's not a complete list!

@denis76 Yeah, we do crazy stuff. But, ya know, maybe the cats like the Caesar salad dressing.

I "literally" did that today. It wasn't a used pad...I throw those away wherever I made the change to a fresh one, but...I leave two Depends "Shields" in a pocket in my shorts. I occasionally - like today - do a load of laundry, overly confident that I have already emptied all of my unused Shields from my pockets. My washer is now caked with wet white pad material. It usually comes off the clothes in the dryer, but my washer is caked with it. I have to reach in and pinch out every little piece and wipe it all down after that to get the "micro-pieces." Just one more annoyance to this mess called "Life with Prostate Cancer."

@rlpostrp Yeah, that's it in a nutshell....one more annoyance! Guess in the scheme of things...oh well.

Side note: The shop vac really did a great job of cleaning out the washing machine. I just have a giant one, which is overkill to haul in from the garage...but it did do the job.
