@colleenyoung I really admired @mnewland99. She helped me learn a lot. I appreciated how openly she shared her experiences and knowledge with others. She was so courageous with her treatment too. She is the first person that I had met that tried the Histotripsy procedure for cancer in the liver. She created a post on Connect about her Histotripsy experience. Here is the link to that post: https://connect.mayoclinic.org/discussion/histotripsy-3/ Having metastasis to my liver, I was grateful for that. She was someone that I could lean on for help and honesty. I will miss @mnewland99 very much. I also want to thank @gamaryanne for sharing the sad news.

I was so glad to have the opportunity to interview @mnewland99 for a Spotlight. I recall her sharing how she would go out with friends and family so she could forget about cancer for a while. She enjoyed her life after her cancer diagnosis by fulfilling her "bucket list." I'm sure her husband, son, and her many family members and friends will miss her as we on Connect do.

Thank you, @mnewland99, for being a beacon of hope and encouragement to so many of us on Mayo Connect. I'll always admire your strength and perseverance!
