Hello @ericmm, Welcome to Connect. Sorry you haven't found much relief from the neuropathy pain. I only have numbness and there aren't any medications that help with numbness. There are many different treatments but unfortunately there is no one treatment that works for everyone (my non medical opinion). The Foundation for Peripheral Neuropathy has a list of the different treatments including complementary and alternative treatments if you haven't already seen them - https://www.foundationforpn.org/treatments/.
I noticed you mentioned having side effects from Lyrica in another discussion and also wanted to know more about CBD capsules as well. Connect has a great search feature that helps you find others with similar symptoms or questions. Here's a search of Connect using "Lyrica side effects" - https://connect.mayoclinic.org/search/. Here's another search using CBD capsules - https://connect.mayoclinic.org/search/.
Has your doctor or neurologist offered any suggestions for different treatments?

5 ReactionsFor almost 2 years I have problem in walking. I use walker or stick and take very small steps as I am afraid to lose my balance. I am eighty years old female. I am in good health and have no major issue.

2 ReactionsWelcome @jas101, I also have balance problems with my neuropathy. I'm 83 and use a cane once in awhile but may have to use it more sooner than I want. I started using the senior shuffle in my mid 70s after having a knee replacement. It's good to hear that you are in good health and have no major issue. Do you do any physical therapy or exercise to help with your balance?

2 ReactionsI had few sessions of physical therapy last year. It did not do much. I do not exercise on regular bases but I keep myself active and work inside and outside in the yard as well.

3 ReactionsThis website -- neuropathyresource.com -- is a wonderful place that gathers almost every bit of current info out there regarding peripheral neuropathy; and it explains clearly what works, what doesn't and what may or may not work for different people. This is not a commercial website, though there is section titled "product reviews," where the products provide commissions to the website - that is clearly stated and it's kept separate from the actual good information on the rest of the site. I just ignore those. I've found excellent info and help on the rest of the website.

2 Reactions@jas101 I was disappointed with my PT sessions, too. The therapist just used the same sheet of exercises for most of his clients. I need specialized exercises that are suitable with someone who has severe neuropathic pain. I hope you can find some kind of help.
