Did Paxlovid take pain away from your autoimmune diseases?
The first time I had Covid it hit me very hard. It affected my speech and my right eye drooped. I took Paxlovid. The third day my side effects had improved and I also noticed all the pain for my autoimmune diseases were also gone. I was pain-free for an entire month. It was amazing. I talked to my doctors about it. They hadn’t heard of that happening. It wasn’t something they could prescribe for me. I’ve had pain in my body since I was 27 years old and I am now 70. That was the first time I was pain. If anyone hears of a clinical trial for using Paxlovid to help pain from autoimmune diseases please reply.

I hope there are others with more specific information re: Paxlovid and the effects it had on reducing pain. When I was 34 and diagnosed with Stage II parotid/salivary cancer, I had surgery and 5 weeks of radiation. I'm remembering this because at the time I had RA and Sjogrens Disease, Hashimoto's too. When I was having radiation treatments I also had less fatigue and was pain free. The only thing I could figure (no doctor would correlate my experience) is some kind of connection between my physical response to radiation, lowering immunity and possibly lowering the autoimmune response?
Now I am on a TNF-Inhibitor infusion for the autoimmune illnesses. It seems to do this same thing: I have the infusion, become immune-compromised, get some relief from pain and fatigue. Every 2 months, another infusion.
